Rebecca Cant has over 20 years of experience in education and safeguarding in diverse communities. In her national role as Product Development Manager at Brook, she leads the development of high-quality, inclusive, and trauma-informed education and training products across the organisation’s sexual health and safeguarding specialisms. She also works across Brook’s programme delivery, policy advocacy, and youth participation projects to ensure the best outcomes for young people.
Jeremy Indika
Founder of Something to Say, Speaker and Podcast Host, and lived experience expert
Jeremy Indika is a former McLaren design engineer turned speaker and podcast host, and the founder of Something to Say — a movement using personal story to break the silence around the sexual abuse of children. His talks and workshops help parents, schools, and communities understand grooming, spot the signs, and take action to protect children.
Thomas Michael
Safeguarding & Welfare Officer/DDSL
Thomas Michael is a Safeguarding and Welfare Officer and DDSL in a secondary school with over 12 years experience working in education across a range of roles. Throughout his career, he has passionately supported children and young people’s wellbeing, safety, and development, working closely with staff, families, and external agencies. Thomas’ expertise has been recognised internationally, with features in publications such as The Guardian, The Observer, and NBCOnline, as well as authoring a number of safeguarding articles for TES. Drawing on his professional experience, Thomas shares practical insight and guidance and is committed to creating safe, inclusive environments where students feel supported and able to thrive.
